Find Help, Find Hope!

Connection Recovery Support Group

NAMI Connection is a free, peer-led recovery support group open to all adults living with mental illness (regardless of diagnosis).  It offers a casual and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and successes of coping with mental illness.  All groups:

  • Meet once a month for 90 minutes
  • Are offered free of charge
  • Do not require registration
  • Can be joined at any time
  • Follow a flexible structure without an educational format
  • Do not recommend or endorse any medications or other medical therapies

These groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope.  All groups are confidential – participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish.

Please feel welcome to drop by and share feelings, difficulties, or successes.

Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at University Presbyterian Church, Room 108 (Stephen’s Ministry Room), 209 E. Franklin St.,  Chapel Hill.
There is no parking available in the church lot.  You may park on the street free after 6 p.m. or there is a lot on Rosemary one block south of the church.  The entrance is located on an alley adjacent to the TRU Restaurant on Henderson Street.  There is also another alley leading from Rosemary Street across from #207.
For more information, please contact Joyce Romm (304-228-1811) or Sable Justiniano (919-928-2423).
