Find Help, Find Hope!

Connection Recovery Support Group

NAMI Connection is a free, peer-led recovery support group open to all adults living with mental illness (regardless of diagnosis).  It offers a casual and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and successes of coping with mental illness.  All groups:

  • Meet once a month for 90 minutes
  • Are offered free of charge
  • Do not require registration
  • Can be joined at any time
  • Follow a flexible structure without an educational format
  • Do not recommend or endorse any medications or other medical therapies

These groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope.  All groups are confidential – participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish.

Please feel welcome to drop by and share feelings, difficulties, or successes.

Virtual meetings are the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm
To resume at a later date at:
University United Methodist Church
150 East Franklin Street, Chapel Hill
Room: B Chapel Conference Room
Parking is available at the Swain Hall parking lot, 101 East Cameron Avenue, behind the church. You can enter the Church from its back parking lot or the “front door” on Franklin Street.
